Northern Lights Relief Foundation is a non-profit organization that brings together teams of volunteers to collaborate on humanitarian aid and disaster relief efforts. These teams provide an array of support, offering to assist financially, emotionally, and physically with the needs of families and communities ravaged by disaster.
The foundation collects, delivers and distributes supplies and resources to families, individuals and institutions.
Northern Lights Relief coordinates and provides the necessities and sustenance to the disadvantaged and disaster-stricken individuals and groups that would otherwise have little to no other means to obtain, like food, clothing, housing, education, skill training, counseling and alike. While Northern Lights Relief dedicates much of its resources to aid efforts such as natural disasters, we also make considerable investments in fighting against poverty by relieving hunger and health problems of the people in need. We support stronger cognitive development, increased stimulation, improved health of all individuals especially ones who need but can not effort.
Northern Lights Relief, its staff and its volunteers believe that every member of society can give back to their communities in any shape or form, within a pleasant and respectful environment that accepts no judgments or discrimination.
Trust, mutual respect and equal partnerships of community service providers are essential elements of our work. Providing hope, making a difference, offering opportunities for true collaboration are the life and soul of the organization.
While understanding the importance of embracing humanity with a compassionate heart, we extend our contributions and volunteerism beyond Canada. For this reason, our objective is to provide aid and such services both domestically and internationally, despite race, religion and ethnicity, while giving priority based only on the level of seriousness and urgency of the need. We hope for these activities to improve and enhance the lives of individuals and communities on both a local and a global scale. On the domestic front, we envision a contribution to Canada that maintains preserves and protects the rich cultural and multifaceted aspects of its communities’ values.
