According to European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations, shelter is one of the main necessities that is essential to human life. In today’s society women who experience hardships, trauma and domestic abuse, find security in women’s shelters that are specifically designed to maintain a standard level of shelter and comfort. 

On 25th of April 2022, Northern Lights Relief Foundation collaborated with Ernestine Women’s Shelter to provide further comfort and put a smile on the residents’ face. This collaboration consisted of a food drive which served Ernestine home cooked dinner during the month of Ramadan. This beautiful work led to dialogue between NLRF and Ernestine’s and built strong bonds between the two organizations
